Founded in 2012, the Anna Julia Cooper Center serves  as a curricular hub for courses addressing  intersectional identities;  cultivates deep mentoring for undergraduate students;  provides opportunities for  intellectual collaboration, collegial interaction and scholarly support; offers meaningful events for local  audiences; and convenes national stakeholders to marshal resources on behalf of neglected subjects and communities. From its inception, the JC Center has relied on and sustained mutually empowering relationships with community based organizations.  This report is a story of what we have achieved as a result.
